During the week of November 11th, several Irving students participated in the iCanBike program!  This program teaches individuals with disabilities to ride two-wheel bicycles and become lifelong, independent riders.  iCanBike uses adapted bicycles, a specialized instructional program, and trained staff to run the weeklong program at selected FCPS middle and secondary schools.  The program provides an opportunity for students to learn more about youth with disabilities while interacting with the participants and developing leadership skills as the riders learn to conquer fears, have fun, and achieve their biking goals.  Our student volunteers and riders had a great experience participating in this awesome program!

Additional  information including the benefits of this program can be found on their website at https://icanshine.org/.
